| Hi folks! I have a decent sized bdrm available in our 3 bdrm apt, available March 1st, potentially even Feb 15th if you need it to be :) Middle of downtown, the place is an old heritage 3 story located on the corner of Jervis and Davie. It's a 7 min walk to sunset beach, 3 minutes from multiple grocery stores & tons of yummy restaurants, and only a 10-15 minute walk to burrard and yaletown skytrain stations! Being a heritage building, she's old and there are a few old building quirks! :D Our beloved roomie is moving in with her son & grandchild :'( While impossible to fill her shoes, I must try.. you will be missed J : / About us: [We're computer nerds] - 30s, M: Learning & implementing game design [ha, nerd!] & currently working a kitchen gig to pay the bills. He's quiet, very kind, funny, intuitive, looks like a rockstar cutout, and is a salt of the earth type folk. - 40s M [me]: heavy equipment operator by day, CS/IoT student by night. I'm usually either working, tucked away studying, or out at a nerdy seminar. Enjoy keeping a clean home, maybe too much.. depends who you ask. We both kinda lean towards introverted, so another introvert would be ahh-mazing, but is definitely not a requirement! :) The vibe is tame here, it's a place to focus on our grinds, no partying and 0 drama. We keep the place clean, and are conscientious of our noise levels in this 100 yr old building. Who we'd like to share our place with: Folks who are mature, responsible, that help keep the common areas clean. You must be employed, or going to school, either or both. This place is really for those who prefer a quiet / productive lifestyle at home. There are not a lot of house rules, 4 really, they keep everything copacetic: 1. No guest traffic. This is a 3 person household, just not into sharing the private space beyond each other. That being said, if you have family or a bestie visiting from out of town or something that's potentially negotiable, but generally speaking am not into having folks over, or your 'significant other' coming and going. I realize this isn't for everyone, that's why I put it at the top of the list¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 2. Heavy kitchen use quiets down by 9:30pm, from Sun - Wed night. Sorry night owls!! Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights: please, go to town by all means, make midnight nachos if that's your weekend thing! Cooking, baking, culinary devices are all highly encouraged! The kitchen is HUGE! Weird one I concede, but unfortunately a necessity for heavy equipment operational safety. 3. Help us keep the place clean. Ya nasty up the stove/counters? Ya wipe up the stove/ counters. Use the last of the tp? Grab some more from the closet and chuck those badboys in the bathroom! Whatever it is, just please contribute & help us enjoy a clean place together. 4. There's No Smoking Inside. If you smoke that's totally fine, but it has to be outdoors. Yes, this includes vaping and/or the devils cabbage :D About you: Gay, Straight, Both, Neither, m/w/o, everyone is welcome given that: A) You're quiet, clean, working/studying, responsible, accountable, reasonable, & respectful of the shared space we each call home. B) You abide by the above mentioned house rules. The room is unfurnished... that means BYOF[furniture]. The apt has a lot of character, high ceilings with old crown moldings, gas stove, stainless steel fridge and dishwasher [that poor thing never gets used, we usually just hand wash], & an old clawfoot bathtub. The heating here is electric, so it can get a wee bit pricey in the coldest parts of winter, but we have developed lifehacks to combat this and stay ton-ton toasty ;) Tons of natural light in the summer through the over-sized old-timey windows! Money things: -Hydro usually comes in @ 30-50 each in the coldest part of winter, muuuch cheaper when it's warm! It really depends on usage.. -Gas, hot water and super-nerd high-speed internet are included in the rental price. -Rent and hydro payable by e-transfer to the leaseholder [moi]. A signed shared living agreement, and damage deposit [1/2 months rent], are required. If you're keen, shoot me an email with a bit about yourself.
