Description
The Urban Cabin - a hidden gem in the city. Close to Bloor Street and the subway. Available for March or April 1st, 2025. $2,500/month including utilities. This unique, very cool one bedroom coach house is a separate building at the rear of the main house. It has the feel of a boat with all wood walls and ceilings. This is a cozy space most suitable for a single person without a lot of furniture. It is multi-levelled and includes a private deck. The main level has the living room, bathroom and kitchen - all with a beautiful stone floor. The living area has a gas fireplace (which heats this space and has a thermostat), a ceiling fan, high ceilings - with a skylight (which sits in the floor in the middle of the upper deck) and has a built-in desk in the corner under the cabinets by the fireplace. The kitchen area includes a gas stove and there is a built-in sidebar counter with 2 stools for eating at. The shower has a stone mosaic floor. The coach house has it's own water heater. The upper level is the bedroom and includes built-in storage. There are stairs from the upper level to the private deck. Hydro, heat and water utilities are included. There is permit parking available on the street. There is coin-operated laundry available in the main house. The rent is $2,500/ month. We are looking for a tenant who can provide first and last months rent, photo id, references (landlord, work), credit check and proof of income. Also, we are looking for a non-smoker (outdoor smoking okay) with no pets (we have allergies). We, the owners, live in the main house. There is a small, shared garden at the back of the main house which a coach house window overlooks. We are close to Bloor Street. It’s a short walk to Ossington Subway station (Delaware entrance), shopping, restaurants and bars and comedy bars on Bloor Street, as well as the Paradise Movie Theatre at the bottom of our street. Dovercourt Park is up the street and includes a baseball field, tennis courts, a firepit, and a community-run skating rink in the winter. Also, Dufferin Mall with many shops including a No Frills and a Walmart Superstore, Dufferin Grove Park and Christie Pits Park are nearby.
